To Sale or not to Sale

I have decided to make my Etsy shop an Outlet shop for my samples and other sale items.

But I am not sure if it really was such a good idea.
Like most of my ventures this one so far hasn't really had much success.

So am I just wasting time and money on being back on Etsy or could this be a good thing in the long run?

I have read a lot about certain marketing strategies, where sale items just de value your brand. And as much as I don't want to do that, I also don't want to have dead stock lying around my house. I want my garments to be worn and enjoyed all around the world.
I am also totally against throwing them away, this is why I make most things to order, to reduce the waste.

Maybe I am just a little impatient and need to let people find me, it's not always easy to do.

It's one of those things isn't it, I guess only time will tell.

Ivy Raynes mini me

I had a request from Ivy Rayne to make a costume for a doll to match a old costume she already has.
She sent me the Doll and photos of her in the costume, and I started making this tiny version.

Here is the doll doing some practice moves in her costume at my house

And she seemed happy with the costume so we decided to show it to her owner.

She also liked it which meant we could ship her back to Australia, where she had to get started on rehearsals for her Felix Cane Pole Competion performance.

Here some adventures in rehearsal

It was a fun little project, and they both looked great. Can't wait to see what she comes up with next.

Until Next time

Champaynes Cow Girl

Once again I had the pleasure to work with Champayne aka @julie_moran_champayne on instagram.

This time it was for the Felix Cane Pole Championships 2018

The Costume Idea came from her, and its a Bra, Champayne knickers, chaps, Vest and cuffs in Black and pink. Adorned with around 250 Swarovski crystals and hand cut fringe out of the lycra we made the costume out of.

Here some images;
The Champayne kickers

The Bra with the cuffs and Knickers

The Chaps and Vest

And here all of it together

And a close up of the back of the vest.

The bra its self wasn't made by me, I used a favourite of hers and covered it and added the neck piece.
She added some more Crystals to match the Hat to the costume, and to be honest there can never be enough Sparkly things. ;)

Here some photos of the performance;

And Back stage

She as always was stunning I wish I could have seen it live.

Until next time

2018 Bikini designs

This year I have decided to do more than just bikinis for my Etsy shop, I will go back into making lingerie, dance leotards and also bring in some mens shorts and g strings.

Since I used the two Doll Alexis and Athena last year to do a little preview of my bikinis I decided to try and style my models more like Barbies.
We took the photos from above and made the models lay on the floor, giving them the chance to pose like dolls.

But let me introduce the Bikini Designs;

The Jennifer Monokini
Inspired by the Stunning Model Jennifer and the Champayne knickers from 2017, I wanted to continue having something sexy and Strappy in my range.
This comes in Pink Leopard and Red Leopard at this stage.

And then the Barbie boxes ;)

Models: Jennifer and Lia Vortex

The Sara Set
Inspired by a Aerial Dancer from Flawil called Sara, I wanted to make a set that is High waist but flattering and long line but cute as well. And like always made for movement.
I make this in White and Blue at the moment.

And the Barbie Boxes

Models: Sara and Sabrina

The Emmeline Set
Inspired by Emmeline Baudelaire from The USA who contacted me about a costume for a competition, I altered one of my designs from 2017 for her. And she loved the shape of the knickers so much she asked if it would be possible to have that shape as just a set of shorts. I decided to create this set with the Scrunch bum on the knicker and a scrunch on the halter top to.
I make these in Red/Black, Blue/black and Leopard/black at the moment.

And the Barbie boxes

Models: Jennifer, Lia Vortex and Sara

The Stephanie Set
This set is inspired by a Danish Polerina, she was the one who inspired me to take the first step and take my first pole class. This set is different because it uses the mesh as a deco and has the elastic cord incorporated on both the knicker and top.
I make this set in Pink/white and Blue/ White at the moment.

And the Barbie boxes

Models: Sabrina and Jennifer

As you can see I have reduced the range a bit more for the Bikinis, but that just means I can bring other things into Lady A Designs Shop.

I have added more images to Instagram if you would like to see what else we got up to on the day of the Photoshoot.

A massive thank you to the models for working with me
and a Huge thank you to my Make up lady Luisa, for turning my stunning models into Barbies <3

Until next time

And the Lovely Julie (Champayne) from Perth with one of the leopard print samples I made while still living in Australia.

Here is the very first #sundaybumday photo taken by Yoko Taketani wit our Booty short made for her

I am hoping to give my customers a chance to show their #SundayBumday photo's via Facebook and maybe later on my website.
I like to see women or men of all shapes and sizes having fun with this, giving us a chance to celebrate everyone.

The Spider line pole dance clothing

I made this spider line of pole dance clothing, with 3 versions.

Number one, is very skimpy and sexy.
And although Like it I am not sure I will sell many of them.

Number two, is a bit more fun but I am having to do some more things to the top and go over the patterns and sizing again.

And Number Three, to be honest is now my favourite.
I drew it as a simpler more covered version, and didn't think much of it at the time. But it has become my favourite and possibly the one I am more likely to keep making.

I gave two and three to a amazing friend of mine in Denmark to test and take some photo's of. And what she has come up with is great, I am now able to alter and perfect the patterns. And I also get some photos of a beautiful person posing in them.

Have a look.

My way

I have been dabbling in doing my own thing for ages, I have done Burlesque, Pole dance costumes and dance costumes. All while working or studying.
So why not venture out and start my very own label.
I have a bit of a love for lingerie and Pole dance of course, but that might only be the start.

I knew it was going to be hard to start something from not much, and I decided I would do it anyway. Since I had taken the hard road all my life this wasn't going to be any different.

While working for a Jewellery company as a Christmas casual in Arbon, I met a lovely lady that was a seamstress herself. She was a constant inspiration and always helped me along the way. It was great to have someone to bounce ideas off and also show her some stuff that I had learned over the years.

She was starting her label at the same time as me, hers being more of a up market clothing label we helped each other when we needed to.

This gave me the confidence and also backing of a person who has lived in Switzerland longer than me, and I could count on her honesty and help.

I am going to start with my Etsy store, see how that goes.
My main problem will be the strength of the Swiss franc, export will be tricky. People like cheap and cheerful but I am not planning on being that kind of label.
I am hoping to make good quality items with great fabrics that will last several washes and wears.

Once I have sold a few items I am also planning on making a Couture range, which will be limited edition. Probably more for the stage and performances.

I have had a photo shoot with a great lady called Mara to give people a idea of what these items look like on the body. She is not a pole dancer, but a great sport and circus performer with Gravity Riders.
And she did me a great favor posing on and off the pole.

I am also very grateful for the help I got from the team at Kühnis Augenoptik in Rorschach, for letting me use their in equipment and cellar to shoot.

I am hoping my general line will become a great source for people to use in the gym, circus or on the pole.
These are just the start I have more designs I would like to make reality but for now I have to earn some money first to be able to purchase more material.

there will be more in the future :)
